I love Dr Pepper. At one point during college, I realized that I had no idea what Dr Pepper was supposed to taste like. I made it a point to ask random people what flavor Dr Pepper is, but no one seemed to know.

According to the FAQs on the Dr Pepper website, the delicious bubbly soda is a combination of 23 different flavors, but the formula is "proprietary information." In other words, they don't know what it is supposed to taste like either.

There is a Dr Pepper museum in Waco, TX and the period after the Dr was dropped in the 1950s.
