i took the tie off about 3 minutes after i wrote that last post, put on a nice pullover shirt and went to the interview.

the principal comes out to greet me and he's wearing a hawaiian shirt and crocs. i was still over-dressed.

i'm wearing a tie for the first time in years for a job i'm pretty sure i don't want.

who am i trying to impress here?

a couple years ago in atlanta, i got to see cannibal corpse in concert. i knew i was in trouble when the lead singer said in a very soft voice, "this is a song i wrote about chopping my girlfriend's head off with a rusty hacksaw and having sex with her neck. it goes something like this..."and then launched into the most aggressive and awful rock song i've ever heard.

secretly, though, i was having fun. i mean, cannibal corpse!!!
